SAO PAULO - Kaka is back with Brazils national team after an absence of more than 18 months. Vinny Curry Buccaneers Jersey .Coach Dunga on Friday called up the playmaker to replace injured Cruzeiro midfielder Ricardo Goulart for the match against Argentina on Oct. 11 in Beijing and against Japan on Oct. 14 in Singapore. The 32-year-old Kaka, a member of Brazils squad at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 World Cups, hadnt been called up to the Selecao since a friendly against Russia in March last year, when Luiz Felipe Scolari was in charge.Im incredibly happy to be back, Kaka said. After a long time away from the national team, this comes as a reward for the work that I have been doing. It shows that Ive been doing something good.Kaka was Brazils main star at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, in Dungas first stint as coach of the national team. He had been playing well with AC Milan before the 2014 tournament but was left out of the squad by Scolari.I hope I can add a lot to the national team with my experience, he said. I think I can help.Goulart was dropped because of a muscle injury. Dunga also had to replace Chelseas Ramires with Sao Paulo midfielder Souza and Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos with Inter Milans Juan. Both players also were injured. In another recent change, the coach added Gremio goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe to the squad.Kaka, who is on loan at Sao Paulo from Major League Soccer club Orlando City, criticized the Brazilian confederation because he will miss three Sao Paulo games while with the national team. Sao Paulo president Carlos Miguel Aidar called it lamentable that the local calendar is not interrupted for the international break. Other teams will also be without players for domestic games because of Brazils matches. The game against Argentina is dubbed the Super Classic of the Americas, and is organized annually by CONMEBOL, the governing body of football in South America. Brazil won it in 2011 and 2012.The matches in Asia will be Brazils third and fourth games since Dungas return as coach after a disappointing World Cup under Scolari on home soil. Brazil beat Colombia 1-0 and Ecuador by the same score this month in friendlies in the United States.___Follow Tales Azzoni at http://www.twitter.com/tazzoni Ronald Jones II Buccaneers Jersey . Williams finally has his packing strategy down.Nasser Hussain has sympathised with England captain Alastair Cook over his use of the new approved helmet. Cook wore the new-style helmet in Essexs County Championship game against Sussex at Hove on Monday and lasted only five balls, scoring one run after making 105 and 35 not out in Essexs opening game of the season against Gloucestershire when he wore the old-style headgear. The new helmets, which comply to British Safety Standards and have a smaller gap between the peak and grille, were introduced in the winter after a number of high-profile injuries. Cook was spoken to by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) after using his old helmet in last weeks match at Chelmsford and, as a result, he complied with the new regulations this week. Cook heads out to bat against Gloucestershire in his old helmet However, former England skipper and Sky Sports cricket pundit Hussain has sympathy for Cook and feels it is unfair to dictate what headgear a batsman should use.I definitely have sympathy with Alastair Cook, Hussain told Sky Sports News HQ.The fundamentals of batting are being comfortable and being able to see the cricket ball and he has got nearly 10,000 Test match runs wearing a certain type of helmet. He has taken the opinion that he leaves a bit of a gap there - and maybe the ball can get through and maybe it cant - but he wants to see the ball properly. And then, all of a sudden, the regulations and the new helmet has moved that little grille up - maybe a couple of centimetres - and he cant see the ball as well. Cook sports his new helmet during day two of Essexs match against Sussex Hes a grown man and I feel he should be able to make the decision himself.Hes given the other [helmet] a go, hes not been stubborn, hes not saying no this is nothing to do with me, hes givenn it a go and hes not finding it comfortable. M.J. Stewart Buccaneers Jersey. Hell go out to bat at Hove (today) probably with the new helmet on and give it a go, but when he rocks up at Headingley for the first Test against Sri Lanka I think most England fans will want their captain, their opening batsman and their star batsman to be able to see the ball and be comfortable and not have any kind of doubts about his equipment. Ravi Bopara explains why Alastair Cook doesnt want to use a specific style of helmet Despite his support for Cook, Hussain has backed the ECB and its director of cricket Andrew Strauss over the introduction of the new regulations.I do applaud what Strauss and the ECB are doing, he said. For a long time people havent looked at helmets and the actual safety of helmets and there have been some high-profile incidents that have happened recently and it has to be looked into. But you do have to say that there has to be a little bit of a personal choice to every batsman to be able to make that decision. BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Orioles have put first baseman Chris Davis on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique. Will Richardson Jaguars Jersey . The move is retroactive to Saturday. Davis left Friday nights game against Kansas City after four innings and has not played since. Baltimore did not make a move Sunday to fill the roster spot. The Orioles are off Monday, and manager Buck Showalter said the team will fill out the 25-man roster before Tuesdays game against Pittsburgh. Davis led the majors last year with 53 homers and 138 RBIs. This season he has two home runs and 13 RBIs in 22 games. Showalter says Davis told him that hes a faster healer. Showalter noted that "the normal time on these things is more than the DL period." Niles Paul Jersey . - Jason Day and Cameron Tringale shot an 8-under 64 on Friday in modified alternate-shot play to increase their lead to three strokes in the Franklin Templeton Shootout. Austin Seferian-Jenkins Jersey .Y. - Carey Price had an early feeling that one goal might be enough to settle the latest matchup between his Montreal Canadiens and longtime Original Six foe, the New York Rangers.METAIRIE, La. - The New Orleans Pelicans waived small forward Darius Miller and power forward Patric Young. The roster moves, announced Sunday, trim the Pelicans roster to 13.Miller has appeared in five games with one start this season, averaging 0.4 points and 0.2 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game. CLEVELAND -- Sporting sunglasses, a teal shirt and a backpack hanging from his shoulder, Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon looked like a tourist as he arrived late for his news conference. Johnny Cueto Jersey . Maddon didnt have time to slip into his uniform and had a valid excuse. The Rays have been on the road. In the past week, theyve gone from Tampa to New York to Toronto to Texas to Cleveland, a journey covering 3,627 miles. On Wednesday night, the Rays hope to book a trip to Boston. Getting a complete game from starter David Price, Tampa Bay beat Texas 5-2 in a tiebreaker on Monday night, earning the Rays a wild-card spot for the third time in four years and a chance to face the Indians, making their first appearance in October since 2007. Forced to win almost every day down the stretch as they went neck-and-neck-and-neck with the Indians and Rangers in a thrilling wild-card scramble in the final weeks of September, the Rays won in Toronto on Sunday before travelling deep in the heart of Texas and surviving a win-or-go-home scenario. "Ill tell you what," said Maddon, whose team went 14-5 after Sept. 12. "Weve already played this wild-card game a couple times. We did it in Toronto a couple days ago. We did it yesterday in Texas, and were going to come here tomorrow and do it again. I dont know if theres a battle-tested component to that, if you get immune to whatever that pressure is and you go play." Wednesdays winner will meet the Red Sox in Game 1 of the division series on Friday. The Rays always believed theyd be in position to make a run at a first World Series title. And although theyve racked up some frequent-flyer miles and lived out of their suitcases to keep their season alive, theyre confident their season isnt about to end. "When you get into this momentum kind of a thing on a daily basis and youre playing great competition and youre going from city to city to city and its an adverse territory, all of this stuff is what you train for and you really dig and you love it," Maddon said. "You dont have time to get nervous or overthink, youve just got to get ready and go play -- and for our guys, they kind of like that moment right now." Like the Rays, the Indians had to scrap their way into the post-season. Cleveland ended a topsy-turvy regular season under manager Terry Francona by ripping off 10 wins in a row, playing error-free ball during the stretch. Now, when every mistake is magnified and theres no room for lapses, the Indians want to keep rolling and will start rookie Danny Salazar in their biggest game in six seasons. "This team wasnt expected to do anything," said right fielder Nick Swisher, one of the teams high-profile free-agent signings. "Just to be where we are right now is awesome, man." Tampa won four of the six games against Cleveland this season, but the teams havent met since early June. Rays starter Alex Cobb (11-3) was asked what he learned about the Indians in his one start against them on April 6. "That was so long ago, I dont know if that really applies anymore," he said. "Plus," Maddon said, interrupting his young right-hander. "That was before you got hit in the head." Fortunately, the Rays can now make light of the scary situation involving Cobb, who was struck in the head by a line drive hit by Kansas Citys Eric Hosmer on June 15. Cobb missed 50 games with a concussion, but hes been a different pitcher since the injury, going 5-1 with a 2.41 ERA in nine starts. Cobb said two months of rest may have helped, but he was also driven to pitch in the post-season after missing out in 2011 when he underwent surgery to remove a blood clot in his ribs. "Watching the post-season and just the feeling of being left out is indescribable," he said. "Its a terrible feeling that you dont want to have again, so I think it was extra motivation to get back and it definitely fueled the fire even more to get back to the post-season and know that we have a special group that can go far." The Indians feel just as strongly about making this an unforgettable season, perhaps even ending Clevelands 65-year drought between World Series titles. Francona has no hesitation in handing the ball to Salazar (2-3), an unflappable 23-year-old who began the season at Double-A Akron but zoomed to the majors and carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning of his debut. The Rays have never faced him. "Believe me, we wouldnt pitch him if we werent confident in him giving us the best chance to win," Francona said. "Danny has done nothing to make us think he cant handle this. Hes so poised. If I had stuff like him, Id be poised, too. But theres a difference between throwing 100 mph and being able to get major league hitters out. Danny can do that." NOTES: Indians CF and leadoff hitter Michael Bourn did some agility drills and ran the bases before working out with his teammates. He pulled up with a leg injury on Sunday in Minnesota, and his status for Wednesday is not yet known. ... The teams have to have their 25-man rosters set by 10 a.m. Wednesday. .... Francona followed up on his joke about the Indians avoiding chicken and beer during his September surge, a jab at his final days in Boston. "I lied about that," he said. "We have had some chicken." San Francisco Giants Jerseys .C. United to a 4-1 victory over short-handed FC Dallas on Saturday night. Joe Panik Jersey . Some will say that Martin is too sensitive while others will say that it is part of the way football is in the locker room. But to have to absorb what was said to him for any rational and intelligent person is too much. GOLD COAST, Australia -- Adam Scott won the Australian PGA by four strokes on Sunday, his best shot of the final round coming immediately after a two-hour thunderstorm delay to set up a tap-in eagle on the way to a 4-under-par 67. Scott and playing partner Rickie Fowler marked their balls on the 12th fairway after a severe storm warning suspended play with Scott holding a one-shot lead. When Scott returned, his iron shot from the fairway nearly holed out for an albatross and he made the 1-foot eagle putt. Scott was 4-under in his seven holes after the weather suspension. Fowler finished in second after a 68. Making his first appearance back in Australia since his April win at the U.S. Masters, Scott finished with a 14-under total of 270 at Royal Pines. Scott joins Greg Norman, Craig Parry, Peter Lonard, Robert Allenby and Peter Senior as the only Australian golfers to add the Joe Kirkwood Cup for winning the Australian PGA to the Australian Open and Australiann Masters titles in their careers. Denard Span Jersey. Those three tournaments are considered the Australian majors. Scotts defining shot on the 12th came on a 4-iron from 266 yards. "I came out and knew I had to do something great to win this," Scott said. "Its been an incredible year since April, and so great to come home. Ive had a great week." Fowler said the storm suspension hurt him. "I had some good momentum going up until we had the rain delay," Fowler said. "I got to within one and then he came out swinging. "He made some great swings coming down that last stretch. So its a little tough to catch a guy when hes making an eagle and a couple of birdies." Scott moves on to Royal Melbourne next week to defend his Australian Masters title. Then he will play with Jason Day on the Australian team at the World Cup, also at Royal Melbourne, then will play at the Australian Open at Royal Sydney a week later. China Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Jerseys Throwback China NFL Hoodies NFL Jerseys Cheap Cheap NFL Autographed Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Jerseys From China ' ' '

ST. Danny Shelton Jersey . PAUL, Minn. -- Jared Spurgeon spent a month watching the Minnesota Wild from the press box. When he returned to action Tuesday night, he didnt waste any time making an impact. Spurgeon had two assists in his return from injury, Darcy Kuemper made 34 saves and the Wild defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1. One of Minnesotas top defencemen, Spurgeon was placed on injured reserve Jan. 4 after he hurt his left foot against Buffalo. While the Wild went 8-4-2 in his absence, they were eager to get him back in the lineup -- and he was eager to get back into the flow. "I think theres lots of adrenaline that helps you," Spurgeon said. "At the start I was a little nervous being off for a month, but they threw me right out there for the opening shift and that helped me really calm down and get my feet wet for that first one." Spurgeon got started early, setting up Nino Niederreiter for his fifth goal of the season 9 seconds into a power play in the first period. Early in the third, Spurgeon helped the Wild double their lead when he fed Dany Heatley in the slot for his 11th. Spurgeon ended up playing 21:12, third-most among Minnesota defencemen. "Hes taken really good care of himself while hes been out," Wild coach Mike Yeo said. "To be able to come in and play at the level that he did tonight just shows you how smart of a player he is." The Lightning pulled within a goal with just more than 6 minutes to play when Valtteri Filppula tipped in Martin St. Louis pass at the goalmouth for his 20th of the season. Tampa Bay buzzed around the net the rest of the way, but Kuemper stopped Alex Killorn and St. Louis from in close, and Tyler Johnsons shot hit the post in the final 40 seconds. Lightning coach Jon Cooper was hoping to see a little more fire out of his club at the end of a 1-3 road trip. "I dont know how much courage we had going to the net tonight, until the end," Cooper said. "Hence, its shocking where our goal was scored, standing right in front of the net." While the Lightning are still clinging to second place in the Atlantic Division, goalie Ben Bishop said theyll welcome a return home for two games before the Olympic break. "I dont know if you want to say were tired, but its been a long road trip," Bishop said. "We dont want to make excuses, but weve got to be better." Bishop, who finished with 24 saves, was tested often throughout the first two periods, stopping Zach Parise on a breakaway with 5 minutes to play in the first period and stoning Mikael Granlund on a point-blank backhand early in the second. Bishop was shaken up midway through the second when Parise fired a slap shot that hit the goalie in the head, but he remained in the game. Meanwhile, Kuemper made a nifty glove save to stop Johnson on a breakaway late in the second and stood tall all night in his 11th straight start, a franchise record for rookie goalies. The Wild are 6-3-2 in that span, but Yeo was impressed with how Kuemper rebounded from his last two starts, a loss at Colorado in which he was pulled and an overtime defeat at Calgary. "How do you come back to the rink the next day and be mentally tough enough to come in and perform at the level that you need to? Thats what was very impressive about him tonight," Yeo said. "I liked his game an awful lot." While the Wild got Spurgeon back, they had another setback on the blue line 2 minutes into the game when defenceman Marco Scandella got tangled up with Johnson. Scandella skated off the ice with assistance, favouring his right leg, and did not return. Yeo labeled him "doubtful" for Minnesotas pre-Olympics finale Thursday against Nashville. NOTES: Filppula returned after missing Saturdays game at Montreal with a lower-body injury. ... St. Louis assist gave him 966 points, moving him past former Canadiens great Maurice Richard into 85th place on the NHLs career list. Troy Niklas Patriots Jersey . -- Quarterback Josh Johnson has returned to the San Francisco 49ers and his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh. Adrian Clayborn Patriots Jersey . Alfredo Simon lowered his ERA to 0.86, and the Reds beat the Chicago Cubs 4-1 Friday for their 16th win in their last 17 games at the Friendly Confines. WASHINGTON -- The left half of the net was wide open for Troy Brouwer. When he missed badly, putting his shot wide, he was so exasperated that he slumped his shoulders and looked to the rafters as play continued. It was that kind of game for both the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders, who seemingly tried to top each other in trying to find the best way to waste a scoring chance. Players whiffed on open one-timers, several shots hit the goal frame, and all 11 power plays had fruitless outcomes. Andrew MacDonald was the only player to find the target, scoring early in the third period Tuesday night as the last-place Islanders broke a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 win. "Were a desperate team," New York coach Jack Capuano said. "I thought our guys really worked hard right from the start. ... Weve been playing hard; we havent been getting results." MacDonalds slap shot from the point went past screened goalie Michal Neuvirth and just under the crossbar with 17:44 to play. Evgeni Nabokov, making his third start since returning from a groin injury, stopped 22 shots for his 57th career shutout. The Islanders scored only one goal for the third straight game -- but at least this time it was enough to win. "There was a lot of special teams. It was kind of a weird one," McDonald said. "You dont really want to play with fire too much against these guys and give them too many power plays, but fortunately we were able to draw a couple while they were on the power play and negate them." Neuvirth made 27 saves for the Capitals, whoo have lost 10 of 13 to tumble toward the bottom of the Metropolitan Division, only seven points ahead of the Islanders. Jason McCourty Patriots Jersey. Washington has been shut out four times this season, all at home. "Its not acceptable, the way we played tonight. Thats for sure," Capitals centre Nicklas Backstrom said. Washingtons Eric Fehr hit the right post in the first period, not long before teammate Brouwers frustrating misfire. New Yorks Cal Clutterbuck hit the intersection of the crossbar and right post on a short-handed attempt midway through the second, and teammate Kyle Okposo put one off the right post later in the period. The Islanders were granted a rare short-handed penalty shot in the third period, but Michael Grabners attempt was saved by Neuvirth. Most significantly, the Capitals talented power play went 0 for 6. Alex Ovechkin had three shots on goal for the game, with four other attempts blocked. Washington coach Adam Oates said perhaps his team had "a little fatigue" and that veteran players need to stop taking unnecessary penalties. He also noted it wasnt the greatest performance by the Islanders. "I dont think they executed, either," Oates said. "Both power plays were pretty ineffective." NOTES: Capitals D John Carlson played in his 271st consecutive game, tying Calle Johansson for the longest streak by a defenceman in franchise history. ... Washington D Mike Green missed his third consecutive game with a concussion, and LW Aaron Volpatti sat out with an upper-body injury. China Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Jerseys Throwback China NFL Hoodies NFL Jerseys Cheap Cheap NFL Autographed Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Jerseys From China ' ' '

After ripping the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for 10 runs in the ninth inning on Sunday afternoon, the Winnipeg Goldeyes bats have gone inexplicably silent. Dallas Goedert Jersey . Thursday night at Shaw Park, three Sioux City Explorers pitchers combined on a seven-hit 2-0 shutout as the Xs came to Winnipeg and swept the Fish right out of their own ballpark. Tuesday night, starter Patrick Johnson beat the Goldeyes 2-1; on Wednesday, John Straka beat Winnipeg 9-2; and on Thursday, Greg Holt beat the Fish 2-0. In three games at home, the hottest bats in the American Association could muster only three runs. “It looks like we gave up our allotment of hits with two out and men on base in Fargo,” said Goldeyes manager Rick Forney after the game. “We scored three runs in three games and you just cant afford to do that and expect to win baseball games. “Sioux City pitched us great again tonight. They were masters of that low, outside strike and they didnt throw it just once in at bat. Theyd throw it two or three times. They were real good all week.” With the loss, the Fish fell to 34-17 on the season, still in first place in the American Associations North Division, 6 1/2 games ahead of second place St. Paul. Thursday night, the Explorers scored twice in the first inning on a single by Oscar Mesa, a double by Rene Tosoni, a sacrifice fly off the bat of Andres Perez and an RBI single by Peter Barrows. And that was it for the offense. Goldeyes starter Nick Hernandez settled down and did allow another run, nor did relievers Kaohi Downing and Brendan Lafferty. Holt, the Sioux City starter, pitched six strong innings and was picked up by Greg Broussard and Rob Wort out of the pen. Sioux City finished with two runs on 10 hits, while the managed couldnt scratch out a run on seven scattered hits. Holt (3-7, 5.02 ERA) got the win for the Explorers while Hernandez (5-1, 3.69 ERA) suffered the loss. Wort got the save. Friday night at 7 p.m. at the downtown ballpark, the Fish will open a three-game weekend series against the Gary Southshore RailCats, a team that is coming off a three-game sweep in Fargo. Chandler Barnard (3-0, 3.38 ERA) will get the start for Winnipeg, while Stephen Hiscock (5-4, 4.12 ERA) will take to the hill for Gary. Haloti Ngata Eagles Jersey . As McDavid returned to the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League three days after the biggest accomplishment of his life, he fully appreciated the stark contrast of life on the bus in major junior hockey. Its a little different, the soft-spoken McDavid said after a last-minute loss to the Sarnia Sting. You go from one night and youre playing in front of 20,000 at the Air Canada Centre and its a little bit different here tonight. It was a little bit hard. It was a little bit of an adjustment. But it was an adjustment McDavid was committed to making. Otters owner and general manager Sherry Bassin gave the Newmarket, Ont., native permission to relax with his family at home for a few days and meet the team anywhere.Instead, McDavid drove back to Erie and hopped on the bus with his junior teammates Wednesday.I told him to stay and rest and he said, No, no, no. I want to be with the team, Bassin said. Thats how humble he is. ... He set a new mould. While Canadian linemate Curtis Lazar checked his gold medal in his luggage as he flew to Philadelphia to rejoin the Ottawa Senators in the NHL, McDavid left his gold medal at home with his parents. Two of his teammates, Remi Elie and new linemate Nick Baptiste, were cut from the team in training camp, so taking it to show off wouldnt have been wise. The decision to go back to Erie and resume life on the road appeared an easy one. Maybe it was logistics.I had to get my stuff back to Erie somehow, McDavid said. Its nice to see the guys and spend the day with them. Its kind of nice on the bus and on the road. Its good to see everyone again.Watching McDavid dazzle on the ice, its easy to forget that hes only 17 and will celebrate his 18th birthday next week. Barring something completely out of the ordinary, hell be the No. 1 pick in Junes NHL draft and is considered a generational talent in the skate tracks of Sidney Crosby.McDavid accepts this part of his journey even if as a hockey player hes light years better than everyone on the ice. That includes bumps in the road like staying at the Quality Inn in Niagara Falls, Ont., WWednesday night when snow closed the 402 highway into Sarnia. Avonte Maddox Eagles Jersey. That snowstorm cancelled Eries morning skate and meant McDavids first time back on the ice after winning world-junior gold was in warm-ups Thursday night at Sarnias RBC Centre. In a 5,500-seat rink that couldve been in Anywhere, Ont., McDavid was there until the final buzzer and came down from the high that was Monday night. You have to at some point, McDavid said. You cant live on a high of winning that game. Youve got to come down sometime. Its going to be fast.As Jenna Cimetta sang O Canada, McDavid couldnt help but think back to three nights earlier when 19,004 patriotic fans joined him and his teammates for a more emotional rendition. On the ice, he didnt look like he had lost a step.McDavid scored his 17th goal of the season in highlight-reel fashion when he went around Sting defenders like they were traffic cones and put the puck through Alex Blacks stick before finishing. It was his 52nd point in what was just his 19th game of the year after missing two months with a broken bone in his hand and then two more weeks because of the world juniors. But the real moment of coming back down to earth was in the aftermath of a tough defeat. The Otters blew a three-goal lead and gave up the winner with 2.3 seconds left, leading to McDavids first loss since Nov. 6.These werent the stakes of the world juniors, but McDavid said its still really good hockey, top of the line, and youve got to be better than that.McDavid was at his best with the nation watching at the world juniors. After shaking off the rust early, he finished tied for the lead in scoring with 11 points on three goals and eight assists. With Canada, McDavid was the second-line centre and shined as a young player in what NHL Central Scoutings Dan Marr pointed out is a 19-year-old tournament. Hes even more important to the Otters, who hope to make a run at the Memorial Cup this spring.Bassin said it would be difficult for an outsider to comprehend the value of getting McDavid back. The lifelong hockey man acquired two players before the trade deadline but said having McDavid back on the ice was like getting four, because McDavids like two.You wouldnt understand how much it means, Bassin said. You cant begin to imagine.Fans attending Monday nights gold-medal game could imagine their lives changing by winning the 50/50 raffle, which was worth an Air Canada Centre record $90,150. MALABO, Equatorial Guinea - Both the Ivory Coast and Cameroon came into the day as big favourites at the African Cup of Nations, and both finished it happy just to avoid losing. Ryan Strome Jersey .The Ivorians got a late equalizer from Seydou Doumbia — shortly after Gervinho was sent off with a straight red card — to earn a 1-1 draw with Guinea on Tuesday at Malabo Stadium.A short time later at the same venue, it was Cameroon that needed a late goal from Ambroise Oyongo to hold on for a 1-1 draw against Mali.We bounced back. Its a good point for us, said Ivory Coast captain Yaya Toure, who recently won his fourth African player of the year award. We have a couple of games coming, and I hope we will do well in them. The draws leave all four teams in Group D with one point. On Saturday, Ivory Coast will take on Mali and Cameroon will face Guinea.Gervinho had been Ivory Coasts best player, or least the one with the best chances, until a scuffle with Baissama Sankoh during an off-the-ball incident earned him a straight red in the 57th minute. With 10 men it was very hard, said Ivory Coast coach Herve Renard, who led Zambia to the African Cup title in 2012. I think the players did very well in the different organization (after the sending off).Doumbia, who came on in the 66th as the tactics changed, scored from in front of goal in the 72nd after a pass from Wilfried Bony. Toure was the one who started the play.Guinea had taken the lead in the 36th when Ibrahima Traore crossed to Mohamed Yattara.Traore then had a chance to double the lead in the 61st but his shot hit the crossbar. Were not happy, because we know we could win this game, Traore said. Were going to keep working hard. At the end we will win and we will qualify, because as I said we are not afraid of anyone. In the second match, Oyongo latched onto to a long pass from Raoul Loe in the 84th and beat Mali goalkeeper Soumaila Diakite in a fast-paced game that had several missed chances at both ends.Sambou Yatabare had given Mali a surprising lead in the 71st, controling the ball with his chest and scoring from a tight angle after a free kick on the other side of the field. The manner we played this match, especially the second half, it was the manner to win the game, Cameroon coach Volker Finke said. The goal of Mali was a matter of concentration. The players were not concentrated.Cameroon, which conceded only one goal in qualifying, had chances earlier in the game but lacked quality finishing. One of the more entertaining moments came in the 57th minute when Cameroon forward Edgar Salli bounced the ball several times on his head to evade defenders but was eventually brought down just outside the box. Mark Fayne Jersey . ANAHEIM, Calif. Justin Jones Chargers Jersey . -- Not even Sundays champagne-soaked celebration of another division title could knock the Oakland Athletics off their soaring trajectory toward the playoffs. Jed Lowrie hit a three-run homer, Brandon Moss added a two-run shot and the As kept rolling into the playoffs with their fifth straight victory, 10-5 over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night. Tommy Milone pitched into the sixth inning and Seth Smith had an early RBI double for the AL West champions, who have won 11 of 13. Oakland could have been excused for signs of a hangover from Sundays home finale and the resulting party in the Coliseum clubhouse, but thats not how this increasingly remarkable team operates. "Just because we clinched yesterday, that doesnt mean were not going for more," Milone said. "Home-field advantage, whatever it is. Were not going to stop." Seven As drove in a run at the Big A as Oakland (94-63) moved to a season-high 31 games over .500 with the majors second-best record, just behind Boston (95-62). If the As can catch the Red Sox over the final five games, theyll have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. "Thats whats great about this team," Lowrie said. "Were doing a good job of staying steady. It carried over to today, even after the celebration last night. ... Were just going to go out there and do what weve done all year. Wherever that puts us, thats where we end up, and thats where we should be." The As have scored 49 runs in their last five games, and the offensive barrage didnt let up after the club clinched its second consecutive division title Sunday. Lowrie hit his 15th homer in the third inning in Anaheim, and Moss followed with his 28th in the fifth. "They play the same regardless, every day," Oakland manager Bob Melvin said. "Whether its a tough loss, whether its a win, whatever. Any time you can get home-field advantage, its important, but were just focused on winning as many games as we can, and if that happens, then its a good thing." Milone (12-9) struck out eight while giving up five hits and two earned runs in his second start since Aug. 27. He pitched two innings of relief last Friday, but got this spot start in A.J. Griffins place. Howie Kendrick homered and hit a three-run double for the Angels (76-80), who have lost two straight after winning 21 of 28. They hadnt lost by more than three runs since Sept. 3, but couldnt keep up with Oakland in the opener of the final home series of the season. "Whether we get to .500 or not, were just trying to win ballgames," Kendrick said. "Theyre a good team, and they made the post-season. Tonight they came up with a couple of long balls and went up early. We came back and still had a lot of fight." Garrett Richards (7-7) gave up eight hits and seven runs while failing to get out of the fifth inning in his worst start since joining the Angels rotation full-time in late July. The right-hander got rocked in his final home audition for a rotation spot in 2014, giving up the most runs he has allowed in 12 starts taking Joe Blantons spot. "I was just a little off tonight," Richards said. "Those guys came out hacking, and they barrelled up a lot of balls early and kind of caught me off guard. I didnt give us a chance to win, but Im not discouraged by it." Josh Reddick, Smith and Stephen Vogt delivered consecutive two-out hits off Richards in the second inning, scoring two runs. Kendrick replied in the bottom half with his first homer since July 6. The Angels second baseman missed 33 games with a hyperextended left knee, but has hits in eight of his nine games since returning. Coco Crisp and Josh Donaldson then opened the third with singles before Lowries homer into the elevated right-field stands. Los Angeles loaded the bases in the third on Kole Calhouns walk, and Mike Trout struck out before Kendrick pounded a line drive high off the wall in right, matching his season high with four RBIs. Oakland kept piling on with Moss homer and Eric Sogards RBI single in the sixth. Former Angels infielder Alberto Callaspo had an RBI single for the As in the ninth. After going 1 for 10 in last weekends series against Seattle, Trout struck out three times against Milone before beating out an infield single in the eighth. He is 13 hits shy of 200 for the season. NOTES: Angels 1B Mark Trumbo, stuck in an 0-for-16 slump, drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the sixth. ... Griffins start was pushed back to Tuesday against Los Angeles LHP Jason Vargas. Angels ace Jered Weaver is expected to make his scheduled start Wednesday after missing last weeks turn with tightness in his forearm. ... Angels RHP Tommy Hanson made his first career relief appearance in the seventh, pitching 2 1-3 innings in his first action since a demotion to Triple-A Salt Lake in mid-August. Kyzir White Jersey . Italy was heading towards breaking its own duck with a fourth straight home victory over Scotland after lock Joshua Furnos first international try, which replacement flyhalf Luciano Orquera converted with less than 10 minutes remaining. But defeat left Italy winless through three rounds, while Scotland earned some redemption in rebounding from a 20-0 home loss to England, regarded as one of its worst displays ever. "Its all a big blur to be honest," Weir said. "We had a few chances to go for it. I was in the pocket and Cus (Chris Cusiter) gave me a lovely ball and the rest is history. "You just have to go back to basics, get your ball drop right, and I managed to execute it. Its a great feeling and I am delighted for the boys we have come away with the win. We can kick on from here now." With captain Sergio Parisse and prop Martin Castrogiovanni marking their record 104th caps for Italy, they were in the forefront in giving their side a deserved 13-3 lead at halftime. All of its points came from former Scotland Under-20 flyhalf Tommaso Allan, including his second international try. Scotland upped its intensity after the interval, and centre Alex Dunbar scored two tries with Weir converting the second. Captain Greg Laidlaw missed one kick but weighed in with two penalties. "The quality of the match was disappointing," Italy coach Jacques Brunel said. "It was the worst Italy Ive seen since Ive been here. We gifted Scotland the chance to win through our mistakes. "Were behind in regards to our ambitions. I want to understand why we were so bad. We have to react. Our defence was good up until a certain point. But then ... we didnt do our part, we can put on very different performances." Scotland conceded a third scrum penalty in the 12th minute and from that the Azzurri went on the attackk. Royce Freeman Jersey. As Italy punched at the tryline, roared on by the vociferous crowd, Allan forced it over but Robert Barbieris pass was forward, and Italy came away with a penalty. Scotlands indiscipline continued to grow, with the visitors conceding five penalties in the opening quarter -- and that was to increase to 10 by halftime. However, Laidlaw evened the score with a penalty kick in the 23rd. Scotland, which had one try in its last five matches in the Six Nations, had a great chance on the half hour when Weir broke in the Italian half but he cut inside instead of using Sean Lamont on his outside and slipped. Allan put Italy back in front with another kick, and added his converted try in the final minute of the half, going over from Furnos pass after Sergio Parisses charge off the back of the scrum. Rather than deflate Scotland, the late score spurred the visitors to new heights in the new half. They put Italy under sustained pressure. The breach finally came in the 54th when Weir jolted the ball from Italy scrumhalf Edoardo Gori. Scotland spread it quick, and Dunbar sliced through and sped into the right corner to score Scotlands first try of the championship. It took 12 more minutes to score its second. From a scrum on halfway, left wing Sean Lamont ran over Allan and Dunbar burst through. With Laidlaw off, Weir converted for Scotlands first lead at 18-13. Italy looked to have rescued the win after a big run by left wing Leonardo Sarto up the middle, finished by Orquera and Parisse sending Furno over in the right corner for his first try in 16 appearances. Italy had a two-point lead. But for the last few minutes, Scotlands forwards took control, busily working the phases, keeping the ball and making hard yards. With 19 seconds left, replacement scrumhalf Chris Cusiter fired the ball to Weir, who struck it sweet from 35 metres. He was already running back to his half in joy by the time the ball flew high inside the left post, the Stadio Olimpico stunned into silence.China Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Jerseys Throwback China NFL Hoodies NFL Jerseys Cheap Cheap NFL Autographed Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Jerseys From China ' ' '

Norman, OK (SportsNetwork. Zane Gonzalez Jersey .com) - Tyreek Hills 92-yard punt return tied the game late in regulation and Ben Grogans 21-yard field goal in overtime lifted Oklahoma State to a 38-35 win over Oklahoma in another classic in the Bedlam Series. The Sooners ran off 2 1/2 minutes of clock late in the fourth after an untimely Mason Rudolph interception, then looked to pin Oklahoma State deep in its territory with under a minute left. Hill waived for a fair catch inside his 20, but the Cowboys (6-6, 4-5 Big 12) were flagged for running into the kicker. That proved to be a beneficial penalty because Hill took the next punt down the far sideline to tie the game with 45 seconds on the clock. It was a real exciting moment, said Hill. I wouldnt have been able to do that without my teammates. Im really thankful for those guys. Oklahoma (8-4, 5-4) managed to move the ball near midfield, but poor clock management on fourth down with the Sooners in formation for a Hail Mary ended regulation. The Cowboys defense came out strong in the extra session, forcing a 44-yard field goal attempt from Michael Hunnicutt that he pulled wide left. Desmond Roland then took over for Oklahoma State, barreling his way down inside the 5 on a couple of tough runs to set up Grogan, who split the uprights to halt a two-game losing streak in the series. (Oklahoma State) played a really good, hard-fought football game and made some key plays down there in the fourth quarter to win the game, said Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops. Roland rushed for 68 yards with two touchdowns, while Rudolph threw for 273 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Brandon Sheperd caught seven passes for 156 with two touchdowns for Oklahoma State, which snapped a five- game losing streak and is bowl eligible for a school-record ninth consecutive season. Oklahomas devastating loss could have come with a price, as star freshman running back Samaje Perine left the game with an apparent ankle injury in the third quarter. Perine, who set an FBS record with 427 rushing yards in a 44-7 win over Kansas on Nov. 22, picked up right where he left off, accounting for 151 rushing yards with two touchdowns before exiting the contest. He has a sprained ankle, Stoops said. How severe, Im not sure. I think he will be okay here soon. Fullback Aaron Ripkowski had the game of his career in defeat. The senior walk-on had three total touchdowns, two rushing and one receiving, to lead the Sooners offensive attack. Oklahoma used a heavy dose of Perine on its opening drive of the game to grab a 7-0 lead. Perine had 50 yards on five carries and capped the march with a 4- yard touchdown run. The Cowboys answered with a 9-play, 77-yard drive that resulted in Rolands 1- yard touchdown run to tie the game. Both teams traded punts over their next possessions before the Sooners took the lead once again. Blake Bell made a 47-yard catch late in the first, then Ripkowski rushed for a 1-yard touchdown with 11:57 left in the second for a 14-7 margin. Rudolph hooked up with Sheperd for a 39-yard score on Oklahoma States ensuing possession as defensive back Jordan Thomas fell down in coverage. The Sooners ended the half with touchdowns on their final two possessions. Perine made it 21-14 with a 9-yard touchdown run before he, Bell and Ripkowski gave outstanding efforts on their next touch. Perine bolted for 42 yards on the second play of the drive, then Bell made a one-handed catch on an out route the following play. On 3rd-and-goal from the 2. Cody Thomas hit Ripkowski with a pass out in the flat, and the latter willed his way into the end zone, dragging four Oklahoma State players from the 4 to give the Sooners a 28-14 lead at the half. Perine fumbled at the Cowboys 27 early in the third and he stayed down wincing in pain with an apparent left ankle injury. Perine was helped off the field and had ice placed on the ankle before going to the locker room for further observation. Rudolph led a quick 7-play, 79-yard drive that took just under three minutes off the clock and ended with him running for a 3-yard touchdown to cut the deficit to 28-21 early in the fourth. Keith Ford flipped field and momentum on the first play of Oklahomas next drive. He blasted right up the middle for a 56-yard gain to set up Ripkowskis 1-yard scoring run with 7:54 to play. After each team had the ball for less than two minutes, Sheperd hauled in a pass from Rudolph, bounced off a pair of Sooners and raced into the end zone for a 43-yard score to make it a touchdown game. Game Notes Oklahoma had won 10 the previous 11 in the series ... Ripkowski was honored before the game with the 2014 Don Key Award, which is presented annually to a senior who exemplifies all-around excellence in the classroom and on the field ... Oklahoma State has not lost six in a row since 2000 ... The win was the first this season against a ranked opponent for Oklahoma State ... Perine became the third Oklahoma player with 1,500 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns in the same season. Billy Sims and Steve Owens each eclipsed the feat twice ... Ford rushed for 91 yards on nine carries ... Bell, once a quarterback, hauled in two passes for a team-high 59 yards for Oklahoma. Custom Browns Jerseys .com) - Ryan Miller made 28 saves to record his fifth shutout of the season and second in as many nights as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 3-0 on Friday. Antonio Callaway Jersey .com)LeBron clearly likes his Italian sports cars, and thats ok with me, so up next up is the 458 Spider.AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Brandon Jennings made the most of his first game with the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night. Brad Stevens third game with the Boston Celtics was just like his first two. Jennings had 14 points and four steals in 31 minutes and Andre Drummond and Josh Smith added 15 points each to help the Pistons keep the Celtics and their first-year coach winless with an 87-77 victory. "Im ready to play now," Jennings said after missing the teams first two games and most of the preseason with a jaw fracture related to a wisdom tooth. The Pistons (2-1) trailed 65-63 early in the fourth quarter but went on a 10-0 run to take the lead for good and win their second home game in as many tries. Drummond added 12 rebounds for his second straight double-double and Greg Monroe grabbed 10. Jennings had two steals after the Celtics cut the lead to 79-77 with less than 2 minutes to play. He got the first steal to Rodney Stuckey, who was fouled and made two free throws to give the Pistons some breathing room. Detroit held Boston scoreless the rest of the way. "It was good to see him out there and the effect he can have on the team," coach Maurice Cheeks said of Jennings. "He brings a little electricity to a game." Rookie Kelly Olynyk scored 15 points and Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford added 13 each for the Celtics (0-3). "We had stretches where we played well defensively," Olynyk said, "but there were too many times when they got away with a couple of big runs." The Pistons outscored the Celtics 10-5 in the last 5 minutes of the first half andd took a 45-35 lead. Carlos Hyde Jersey. Boston made just five field goals in the second quarter and had that many turnovers. The Celtics finished with 24 turnovers and Detroit had 21. Cheeks said turnovers -- the Pistons had 60 in their first three games -- remain a concern. "Our defence is usually pretty good but when we have turnovers, its tough to get back and defend," he said. "Its something we have to keep working on." Detroit was much more effective on the glass, where it outrebounded Boston 44-37. "We had our opportunities," Stevens said. "They pounded us in the paint all night and that really hurt us." Detroit outscored Boston 54-38 down low. Jennings, who came to Detroit during the off-season in a sign-and-trade deal with Milwaukee, wore a facemask that covered his chin. He took the mask off in the fourth quarter because it was uncomfortable. His jaw remains closed with a series of bands while the fracture heals. "Im not used to playing with something on my face so it was my decision to take it off," he said. He fell to the court after colliding with Brandon Bass in the final seconds of the first half but showed no ill effects when he returned for the third quarter. NOTES: Crawford was assessed a technical foul by referee Sean Corbin midway through the fourth quarter. ... Detroit F Charlie Villanueva (left shoulder) missed his third straight game. ... Detroit wore navy jerseys with "Motor City" in place of the teams name. CORTINA DAMPEZZO, Italy -- Defending overall World Cup champion Tina Maze finally got her first victory of the season, winning the prestigious Cortina downhill Saturday to signal a return to form just in time for the Sochi Olympics. Will Hernandez Jersey . The Slovenian clocked 1 minute, 37.79 seconds down the Olympia delle Tofane course, which was bathed in sunshine, then performed her trademark handstand celebration during the podium proceedings. "There were a lot of emotions," Maze said. "It was a really long time. ... When I find the right feeling like I found it today I can ski fast." Marianne Kaufmann-Abderhalden of Switzerland finished second, 0.27 seconds behind, and Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein was third, 0.38 back. Maze had a record-breaking season a year ago with 11 wins. This season, she had only three podium results -- until this race. "When you win a lot you dont learn much," Maze said. "With my ups and downs its a lot of learning." Two weeks ago, Maze made a staff change in her personal team, which is run by her boyfriend and coach Andrea Massi. They replaced Walter Ronconi with former Switzerland coach Mauro Pini. The switch seems to have paid off and the timing couldnt have been better -- in the final downhill before the Sochi Games, where the womens downhill is scheduled for Feb. 12. Pini urged Maze to put more emotion into her skiing. "That was really good because Andrea was always saying to ski without feelings," Maze said. "But sometimes thats not possible. "(Pini) brought a lot of peace to our team because compared to Andrea and I hes one step in front of us," Maze added. "And thats what we were expecting from someone in that position. He came really motivated and that makes us easygoing and we have more energy for ourselves." Pini was formerly Lara Guts personal coach and he led the Swiss mens squad at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, when Didier Defago won gold in downhill. He then coached the Swiss womens team and more recently was a TV commentator. "I could sense a good feeling from the first words we shared with each other," Pini said. "Tina never forgot how to ski. She was always capable, she just needed to focus her energy better and get rid of those negative vibes." "At this level a couple different words here or there can create all the difference," Pini added. "Its not like we had to start over from scratch." With the skies perfectly clear to show off the jagged peaks that provide some of the most spectacular scenery in the Dolomite Range, Maria Hoefl-Riesch finished fourth to follow up her victory in Fridays downhill. The German said she felt some pain in her left knee after landing a jump awkwardly a day earlier. Still, Hoefl-Riesch maintained her lead in the overall and downhill standings. In another strong showing from the U.S. Ski Team without injured Lindsey Vonn, Stacey Cook matched her fifth-place finish from Friday and teammate Julia Mancuso placed seventh to match her best result of the season from a super-G two days earlier. "It always stings when you are so close to the podium, but I know this is a positive move heading toward Sochi," Cook said. This was the third of four races in four days. Elisabeth Goergl won a super-G on Thursday and another super-G is scheduled for Sunday. Weirather finished fourth and second in the opening two races this week. "Its hard to have four good races in a row but I will try," she said. Two of the races were originally scheduled for last weekend in Cortina but were wiped out by heavy snowfall. The other two were moved from Garmisch-Partenkirchen due to a lack of snow in the German resort. The womens circuit then moves to Kranjska Gora for a giant slalom and slalom next weekend -- the final races before Sochi and Mazes home event. "Im really excited to ski that slope," Maze said Ray-Ray Armstrong Giants Jersey . Even if he is shooting 38 per cent from the field overall this season, the Utah Jazz rookie always feels like his final shot is going in. Saquon Barkley Giants Jersey . -- Fresh off their surprising run in the playoffs, the Portland Trail Blazers have signed head coach Terry Stotts to a multi-year contract extension.Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Mo Williams poured in 37 of his career- high 52 points in the second half to fuel the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 110-101 win over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. Williams, who scored 16 points in the third quarter and 21 in the fourth, broke the franchise record for points previously held by Corey Brewer and Kevin Love. He also set the opponent scoring record at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Williams effort helped the Wolves snap a 15-game losing streak overall and 10-game skid on the road. Minnesota hadnt won since Dec. 10 at home against the Portland Trail Blazers, and hadnt tasted victory on the road since Nov. 28 against the Lakers. Mo was unbelievable, Minnesota coach Flip Saunders said. He trusted guys. Other guys made shots. I thought that we played with a good sense of urgency and we played all 48 minutes. Andrew Wiggins added 20 points, Thaddeus Young had 11 and Gorgui Dieng contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds in the win. C.J. Miles paced Indiana with 22 points and C.J. Watson deposited 17 points for the Pacers, who have dropped two straight and three of their last four. Robbie Hummel followed a Williams triple with one of his own early in the fourth to help the Wolves cut their deficit to 81-80, then Williams tied the game minutes later with three straight free throws. Williams tied the game again later in the fourth moments before Wiggins three-point play gave Minnesota its first lead since the second quarter. He was in a ridiculous zone, Pacers coach Frank Vogel said of Williams. Sometimes players get iinto ridiculous zones. Jonathan Stewart Giants Jersey. Williams continued to put on a show and lead the struggling Wolves. His contested 3-pointer in front of David West pushed the margin to 102-96 with 1:19 remaining prior to Youngs running layup that kept the visitors in front the rest of the way. Indiana led by as many as nine on a couple of occasions in the third. Wests jumper with 40 seconds to go gave the hosts a 73-64 lead, but Williams canned a 3-pointer at the other end to keep the Timberwolves close. Williams strong third quarter helped the visitors close to within 75-69 entering the fourth. Minnesota limited the Pacers to 8-of-22 (36.4 percent) shooting in the opening quarter and took a 25-21 lead into the second. Rodney Stuckey then scored seven points for Indiana as part of a 15-4 run over the first 4:36 of the quarter. The Pacers maintained their edge with a 57 percent shooting clip in the second and held a 52-46 advantage at the half. Game Notes Roy Hibbert was called for a Flagrant-2 foul and subsequently ejected in the third quarter after pulling Dieng to the ground on layup attempt under the basket ...
